The ongoing trade saga surrounding Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin has taken a highly specific turn.
According to NHL insider Frank Seravalli, who cited original reporting from Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press, Larkin has provided the Red Wings organization with a strict three-team list of preferred trade destinations. Those teams are reportedly the Florida Panthers, Minnesota Wild, and Vegas Golden Knights.
Helene reports that Dylan Larkin gave #LGRW three teams where he'd accept a trade and believes those teams are: #FlaPanthers, #mnwild and #VGK. https://t.co/RGkuQuBXAi

Larkin, 29, holds all the leverage in this situation. Because his contract includes a full no-trade clause (NTC), he has complete control over where general manager Steve Yzerman can ultimately move him.
The report comes less than a week after several NHL insiders reported Larkin had requested a trade out of Detroit. The 29-year-old forward scored 34 goals and added 33 assists for 67 points with the Red Wings in 2025-26, with the the team missing the playoffs for the 10th straight season.
Larkin is under contract with Detroit through the 2030-31 season with a cap hit of $8.7 million. He has served as the franchise captain since 2020-21.
