Tampa Bay Lightning Vice President and General Manager Julien BriseBois announced today that the club has acquired the NHL rights to forward Jack Pridham from the Chicago Blackhawks.

Pridham, 20, is coming off a monster season in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Kitchener Rangers, where he completely transformed his development trajectory. In 65 regular-season games, the 6-foot-1, 176-pound forward exploded for 46 goals and 90 points. Pridham’s dominant regular season earned him the prestigious Leo Lalonde Memorial Trophy as the OHL's Overage Player of the Year.

Pridham suited up in 18 playoff games for Kitchener, registering 17 points and leading the team with 15 postseason assists to help capture the Rangers' first OHL Championship since 2008. He carried that momentum straight into the Memorial Cup tournament, leading all players with five goals and nine points, including a crucial one-goal, two-assist performance in Kitchener's Memorial Cup Championship victory on Sunday night.

Originally selected by Chicago in the third round (92nd overall) of the 2024 NHL Draft, Pridham’s stock has never been higher.
