Carolina Leads Series 3-0

The Carolina Hurricanes have officially placed a stranglehold on their second-round series. Behind a balanced attack and clinical special teams execution, the Hurricanes cruised to a 4-1 victory in Philadelphia to take a commanding 3-0 series lead.

The veteran presence of Jordan Staal opened the scoring, but the game was truly decided in the second half. Andrei Svechnikov wired home a heavy one-timer during a 4-on-3 power play to extend the lead to 3-1. Any hopes of a Flyers comeback were extinguished when Nikolaj Ehlers pounced on a defensive blunder by Rasmus Ristolainen, beating Dan Vladar on a clean breakaway to put the game well out of reach.
