The Edmonton Oilers confirmed Tuesday morning that captain Connor McDavid is officially a game-time decision for Tuesday's pivotal Game 5 against the Anaheim Ducks.
The news comes after McDavid missed the morning skate at Rogers Place.

Both were not on the ice this morning. #Oilers
Concerns for McDavid first spiked back in Game 2 when an awkward mid-ice collision occured with teammate Mattias Ekholm. While the Richmond Hill, Ontario native showed incredible grit by returning to log over 24 minutes in that contest, the Oilers ultimately fell 6-4. That moment appears to have been the turning point for McDavid’s effectiveness. Though he finally broke through in Game 3 with a goal and an assist.
Leon Draisaitl, having just returned from his own injury that he suffered late in the regular season, has scored a goal and seven points so far against Anaheim. Kasperi Kapanen has tallied four goals and five points in the series.
Puck drop for Game 5 at Rogers Place is scheduled for a little after 10 p.m. ET.
