Day 7 featured a big night for the Utah Mammoth and an explosion of offense in Southern California.

Utah Mammoth 4, Vegas Golden Knights 2
Utah Leads Series 2-1

The Delta Center was deafening for the first home playoff game in Utah franchise history, and the Mammoth fed off every bit of it. Behind a two-goal performance from Lawson Crouse, Utah defeated the Golden Knights 4-2 to take their first-ever series lead. Mackenzie Weegar scored the first-ever playoff goal in Utah midway through the first. Jack Eichel and Nic Dowd each scored, but that was as close as the Vegas Golden Knights got to tying it.

Montreal Canadiens 3, Tampa Bay Lightning 2
Montreal Leads Series 2-1

For yet another game, the Montreal Canadiens and Tampa Bay Lightning headed to overtime. It all started in the first when Alexandre Texier opened the scoring. Then the Lightning silenced the crowd for a bit with Brayden Point’s goal a few minutes later. Brandon Hagel scored five minutes into the second period to give Tampa the 2-1 lead. Kirby Dach would tie the game for the Habs, sending it to overtime. In overtime, it was Lane Hutson with a slapshot just two minutes in, and it beat Andrei Vasilevskiy.

Anaheim Ducks 7, Edmonton Oilers 4
Anaheim Leads Series 2-1

In a wild, high-scoring affair at the Honda Center, the Anaheim Ducks utilized a three-goal third period to pull away for a 7-4 victory. Seven different Ducks found the back of the net, as Mikael Granlund led the way with four points. While Connor McDavid and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins each found the back of the net for the first time this series. The Oilers now face a crucial Game 4 on Sunday to avoid a 3-1 hole.
