The drama reached a fever pitch on Wednesday. While one team in the East moved to the verge of a sweep, the Western Conference remains a total toss-up.

Philadelphia Flyers 5, Pittsburgh Penguins 2
Philadelphia Leads Series 3-0

The Philadelphia Flyers have pushed their bitter rivals to the edge of an early summer. The Flyers utilized a chaotic second-period surge to secure a 5-2 win. After Evgeni Malkin gave Pittsburgh an early lead, the game exploded following a massive 11-player scrum that saw the penalty boxes overflow. Trevor Zegras tied it on the ensuing power play, sparking a run of three goals in six minutes. It was the Flyers’ first postseason win on home ice since April 20, 2016, against the Washington Capitals.

Dallas Stars 4, Minnesota Wild 3 (2OT)
Dallas Leads Series 2-1

In a grueling marathon at Grand Casino Arena, the Dallas Stars reclaimed the series lead with a 4-3 double-overtime victory. Wyatt Johnston continued his postseason mastery, firing home a power-play one-timer midway through the second overtime period to end the contest.

Anaheim Ducks 6, Edmonton Oilers 4
Series Tied 1-1

The Anaheim Dicks stunned the Oilers with a 6-4 victory at Rogers Place to even the series. Much like the series opener, the Ducks dominated the second period, scoring three times, including a shorthanded marker by Ryan Poehling. Cutter Gauthier played the hero late in the third, breaking a 4-4 tie with his second goal of the night. While Edmonton pushed hard again for the tying goal, an empty-netter from Poehling secured the Ducks’ first playoff win since the 2017 Western Conference Final.
