With the conclusion of the 2025-26 regular season on Thursday night, Oilers captain Connor McDavid has officially won his sixth career Art Ross Trophy, finishing the campaign with a staggering 134 points.
He is now tied for the second-most Art Ross Trophies in NHL history, moving into a deadlock with Hall of Famers Mario Lemieux and Gordie Howe. The trio trails the great Wayne Gretzky, who won the award a record 10 times.

McDavid appeared in his first full 82-game season since that 2022-23 season, he scored 48 goals and 88 assists for 136 points, finishing a few points ahead of Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov, who finished with 130 points. It marks the sixth year in a row that he has hit the century mark in points, and the third time he has posted 130 points.
The 29-year-old has scored 409 goals and 807 assists for 1,216 points. He’s won the Hart three times, the Ted Lindsay four times, as well as the Conn Smythe Trophy in the Oilers’ run to the Stanley Cup Final in 2024.
While McDavid takes home the hardware, the bigger prize looms. The Oilers finished the season in second place in the Pacific Division, setting up a highly anticipated first-round rematch against the Anaheim Ducks.
