Vegas Golden Knights clinch Pacific Division title

The Vegas Golden Knights are once again the class of the Pacific. With a commanding 4-1 victory over the Seattle Kraken on Wednesday night at T-Mobile Arena, the Golden Knights officially clinched the 2025-26 Pacific Division title, marking the fifth time the franchise has hung a division banner in its nine-year history.

The win caps off a chaotic regular season that saw a late-season coaching change ignite a big run. Since hiring veteran bench boss John Tortorella on March 29 to replace Bruce Cassidy, the Golden Knights have gone an incredible 7-0-1.

Jack Eichel, who won Olympic gold with the USA at the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympics, brought himself to 27 goals and 61 assists for a total of a team-high 88 points by the end of Wednesday’s game, while first-year Golden Knight Mitch Marner tallied 23 goals and 56 assists for 79 points, second-highest on the team.

By securing the #1 seed in the Pacific, Vegas has set a date with the Utah Mammoth in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. This will be the first-ever postseason meeting between the two clubs.
