Colorado Avalanche Head Coach Jared Bednar confirmed Thursday that center Nazem Kadri will miss "some games" after sustaining a finger injury during Tuesday’s 3-1 victory over the St. Louis Blues.
The injury occurred midway through the second period when Kadri appeared to take a shot off the hand. Despite the injury, the Bednar is targeting a return for Kadri before the postseason begins on April 20.
"He’s going to miss some games here, and then hopefully we’ll get him in before playoffs—playing maybe next week," Bednar said following Thursday's morning skate.
Kadri “will miss some games” but Jared Bednar said the plan is to get him in at least one more regular season game.

With only four games remaining after Thursday's matchup against Calgary, the timeline suggests Kadri could potentially return for the regular-season finale against the Seattle Kraken on April 16.
Kadri has tallied four goals and five assists in 16 games since being re-acquired from the Flames at the trade deadline.
The Avalanche (51-16-10) can clinch the Presidents’ Trophy on Thursday night with a win over the Flames, or if they get a point and the Carolina Hurricanes lose to the Chicago Blackhawks.
