Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid reached a historic milestone on Tuesday night, becoming the third-fastest player in NHL history to record 1,200 career points.
McDavid achieved the feat during a 5-2 road victory against the Utah Mammoth, sealing the milestone with an empty-net goal in the final seconds of the third period.
Only Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux have reached the 1,200-point mark faster than McDavid.
