Strome struggled this year but has one year left at $5 million.
If Strome can bounce back from a career-low 9 points in 33 games this season, the Flames could potentially flip him for a much higher return at the 2027 deadline.Strome originally joined the Ducks as an unrestricted free agent prior to the 2022-23 season, signing a five-year contract upon the conclusion of his tenure with the New York Rangers. The Mississauga, Ont. product recorded exactly 41 points in each of his first three seasons in Anaheim but was in and out of the Ducks’ lineup this year.
In 897 career NHL games with the Islanders, Oilers, Rangers, and Ducks since making his debut in 2013, Strome has collected 169 goals and 489 points. He’s added five goals and 19 points in 37 career playoff games.
