Myers, a Houston native, reportedly preferred Dallas over other suitors like Detroit due to family ties and the Stars' status as a legitimate Stanley Cup contender.
Myers has tallied eight points in 57 games this season while averaging 20:13 of ice time.
Through 1,123 career NHL games over 17 seasons with the Sabres, Jets, and Canucks, Myers has collected 100 goals and 403 points. He’s added seven goals and 16 points in 61 playoff contests across his tenures with all three teams.
